CRAFT TIPS >>> HOW TO SEW FELT ON YOUR T-SHIRT

Salam and nite to all my crafter friends, followers and readers.

A few days ago, someone asked me whether I accept order for sewing felt on t-shirt or not. Then, I said to her that since I'm still new in this 'felt craft world' (only about 2 months just now), and I never try to sew felt on t-shirt. I promised her that I will try to do that craft work using my tools first and contact her back after finished. 

How I will gonna do this, sewing felt on t-shirt? Which type of felt that suitable to use? It is same as beading on 'Baju Kurung (Malay's traditional women cloth)'? My brain start thinking, if I can come out with a nice t-shirt design, maybe I have chance to receive order from her.

Then, I 'm asking other crafter at 'Geng Felt Crafter Group' on Facebook. Luckily got two of them have done this project before and very kind to share some useful tips with me. Here, I share with you some tips that have been given by my craft seniors, Kraf Fieza and Tie Ganu .

• used 100% POLYESTER FELT because it can be wash (washable) and the colour of felt is still maintain after wash, DON'T USED acrylic felt
• for HANDMADE you need to be careful and sew it tightly and closely, so the stitch will not open when use wash that shirt
• used GLUE PAPER like in the picture below, inside the t-shirt to make your stitch more tight on that shirt.
• you can used either REGULAR THREAD (need to double the thread to make your stitch look more clear on polyester) like we used in sewing cloth or SPECIAL THREAD FOR FELT

1ST CUSTOMER WHO RECEIVED 30 % DISCOUNT : MY COUSIN, IZZA

Salam and good afternoon to all visitors and readers. 

Sudah seminggu Yana xupdate blog LFC since my last post about blog review. Sebabnyer Yana balik kampung,  kat Pasir Mas, Kelantan masa cuti Chinese New Year yg lepas. Bila kat rumah, bnyak benda kena buat, nak jahit2 pun xsempat hehe. Tambahan pula adik Yana no. 1 yg kerja kat Jerantut pun balik, lagi meriah la cuti kali nie haha. Lima hari cuti pun ttp best, siap ikut Mama g mancing lagi kat bendang.

Hari nie, akhirnya dapat gak Yana siapkan order dari first customer dan semestinya yg dapat 30% diskaun utk setiap barang yg dia order. Nie order dari cousin Yana , Izza. Dia gtau nak yg simple tapi cantik. Jom tengok, kalau nak order gak boleh lah isi order form kat atas tue yer, ada 13 tempat lagi utk 30% diskaun.

Dia mintak buatkan 2 lagi keychain color purple ngan hijau. Mula2 Yana ingat nak buat muffin, tapi xder pattern lak. So, buat lollipop lah, first time buat hehe.

CUTE LITTLE BEAR FELT KEY CHAIN.... WITH FREE PATTERN

Yana nie xpndai sgt buat felt keychain atau aper2 yg kena sumbat fiber, slalut jer xmenjadi huhuhu. Nie kali kedua Yana buat felt keychain yg ad fiber, keychain Little Bear lps first time buat keychain Hello Kitty last month. Dah xtau mao buat apa , sbb hari nie blik awal dari ofis. So, jom tgok macam mn Yana buat keychain Little Bear nie, baru2 nak blajar pakai fiber.

Pic key chain Little Bear yg terlupa nk ltak keychain ring ahaks. Slalu lupa nak tinggalkan ruang nak ltak tempat sangkut keychain ring. Nak tahu macam mn buat (wpun mmg ramai th buat keychain), jom tgok pic2 kat bawah. Sebenarnya, nak 'mengetest' tracing paper hahaha.

Step 1 : 

Kena dapatkan pattern Little Bear dulu br blh buat. Cam biasa, leh amik pattern nie kat Fan page Liyanafadila Felt Craft pas dah klik LIKE fan page. Yana ltak dlm folder FREE PATTERn sm2 ngan pattern Hello Kitty. jgn lupa amik yer.

Step 2 :

Gunakan TRACING PAPER  (kalau ms Geografi kat sek dulu, guna kertas nie buat tekap peta) dan tekap pada pattern Little Bear yg dah diprint out. Kenapa guna tracing paper??? Sbb Yana xtau lukis Little Bear cntik2 hehehe. tracing paper yg Yana guna tebalnyer 95gsm (klik sini), jadi xmudah renyuk. Saper nak bl blh kat cini k. Satu lagi sbbnyer, pattern yg dah digunting kita leh simpan utk next time.

Step 3 : 

Pattern dibahagikan kpd bahagian telinga, dalam telinga, muka, hidung, dan mulut Little Bear. Cam pic kat atas tue ye

Step 4 : 

Trace pattern yg tlah digunting pada Polyester felt. Suka hati nak buat color ape, colourful cam kartun Gummy Bear pun Ok gak, Yana pilih dark brown.

Step 5 : 

Polyester felt yg tlah dipotong ikut saiz pattern. Pastikan semua bahagian cukup k.

Step 6 :

Masa untuk cantumkan semua bahagian Polyester felt yg ah dipotong. Nak bagi senang, xmoh gerak2 masa jahit, gamkan dulu bahagian telingan dan hidung Little Bear cam pic kat atas.

Step 7 : 

Akhir skali, jahitkan semua bahagian, masukkan fiber dan ltak Google eyes. dah siap pun Little Bear punye keychain. Kalau lum cuba, jgn lupe ambil pattern dan try buat k.
